School Counselor
The Guidance Department of Hickory Hills provides the academic and social support services necessary to promote student success. The services offered by the school counselor include Classroom Guidance, Small Group Counseling, Individual Counseling, Consultation, and Responsive Services. The counselor regularly visits classrooms to teach helpful lessons on various topics such as: Listening Skills, Decision-Making, Homework Organization, and Responsibility. Counselors assist students to acquire the attitudes, knowledge, and skills that contribute to success in school and everyday life.
