Dragon Families,

I hope you are enjoying a wonderful summer with family and friends! Whether you've been traveling, enjoying camps or spending time at home, it's always nice to have more time in your schedule to do the things that you enjoy!

Ms. Gonzales and I have spent most of our summer planning for the upcoming school year. We have lots of exciting things in store! We are excited to welcome you to Sneak-a-Peek on Monday, August 3rd from 9-11am. This is a time when you will see your new classroom, meet your teacher, sign up for clubs and see all of your Dragon Friends!

The first day of school is Tuesday, August 4th.

Access our School Supply Lists (by grade level) for the 2026 - 2027 School Year HERE. These items can be purchased at your favorite retailer (Target, Amazon, WalMart, etc!). Bring these supplies with you to Sneak-a-Peek on August 3rd.

Hickory Hills is a Unified Dress Code Campus. Students are expected to be dressed according to the school Dress Code every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Wednesdays and Fridays are uniform-free days. Our amazing PTA Board has done a wonderful job designing lots of new Spirit Wear. Spirit Wear is part of our approved Unified Dress Code. Click HERE to purchase your items. Pre-sale ends at midnight on July 16th! Items will be available for to pick-up at Sneak-a-Peek on August 3rd.

Ready, Set, Ride!

Calling all Kindergarteners & 1st Time Bus Riders

Save the date for the annual "Ready, Set, Ride!" a bus route preview day for all new riders. Click HERE to determine your bus stop location and time. On Thursday, July 30th, the bus will pick you up at your stop's scheduled time and bring you to Hickory Hills so that you're familiar with the route. Parents are encouraged to ride with their students. The bus will turn around in the HH parking lot, and return riders to their stop.

Free & Reduced Meal Application

The Free & Reduced Meal Application for the 2026 - 2027 School Year is open! Please take a few minutes to complete the application to see if your student qualifies for free or reduced benefits. Please note that the prices of meals have gone up this year. This increase is to account for rising food costs.

• Breakfast: $2.50
• Lunch: $3.50
• Adult Meals: $5
• Special Occasion Meals (like Thanksgiving Lunch): $6

Marietta Youth Football League-CALL for 5th GRADE PLAYERS

Dear Marietta City Schools Elementary Families,

I hope each of you is having a wonderful summer! As we continue building a comprehensive K-12 football program here in Marietta City Schools, I wanted to reach out and ask for your help in spreading the word about an exciting opportunity for our rising 5th grade students.

The Marietta Youth Football League (MYFL) serves as the official feeder program for Marietta Football, and we are excited about the direction of our entire program. We believe the foundation for future success begins at the youth level, where young athletes can learn the fundamentals of football while developing teamwork, discipline, confidence, and leadership in a positive environment.

We are currently looking to add more 5th grade players for the upcoming fall season and would greatly appreciate your help in sharing this opportunity with any interested students and families in your school community.

Parents or guardians who would like more information are encouraged to contact our 5th Grade Coach, Seth Millican. Seth has faithfully served as a coach and volunteer in our Marietta Youth Football League for many years and would be happy to answer any questions families may have about the program, registration process, or what to expect this season.
